This particular painting was inspired by the constant judgement some people have with black women who wear their natural hair or who wear braided styles. The woman in this painting is an interpretation of myself throwing up the deuces to anyone who disapproves of my hairstyles and my natural hair overall. I love my hair and this painting not only shows the confidence in myself but the confidence in my hair. I want all women young and old to be able to love who they are, from their hair, skin, and their features.
