This painting depicts an abstract version of pain in all aspects of my life personally and the effects it has on me physically. The stress I feel in certain situations of my life can be so painful that I would sometimes cry the pain away. Crying for me would be a sense of cleansing in a way. I feel a little better when I cry. Especially when I cry so hard that my eyes turn red. I wanted to depict the "Cleansing" aspect by using a nude black female literally showering in the tears created by pain.
